Direction is Everything

If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you may have seen my post asking which direction people were headed. On our way to Costco one stormy evening a few days before Easter, sunlight broke through the dark sky. I simply had to take a picture. Later, I noticed that while we were headed toward the light, cars on the other side of the road were obviously traveling away from it. What a tremendous picture that was to me when we were about to celebrate the death (darkness) and resurrection (light) of our Lord, Jesus Christ. And it made me think about how many people are going in a direction away from God. I think most people who don't consider God probably don't really think they are headed away from him. But Jesus said that we are either for him or against him. There's no middle place. We can't drive on the center divider, can we?

When we got closer, it appeared as if God were shining a light directly down from heaven. It reminded me that in the darkness of this world, I want to keep looking up.

I pray you had a wonderful Easter holiday and were touched by the love of Jesus, the Light of the world.
